Dr. Dave Rozee
Dr Rozee is the Owner/Veterinarian of AMC Kings Road and Reserve Mines, he graduated from AVC in 1994. Dave is married with two children who reside in Alberta, one dog and three cats. Enjoys all aspects of veterinarian medicine. AMC is partnered with the SPCA and other animal shelters and rescues around the world. Dave enjoys travelling to warm destinations with his wife Janice he continues to play hockey and struggles with his golf swing. “Inch by inch everything’s a sinch”
Dr. Darren Low
Dr. Low graduated from AVC in 1995 and began working in Cape Breton from day 1. He enjoys looking after his old country house with his wife, son, dog and six cats. Darren enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery and being the “other” family doctor.
Dr. Melanie Gunson
Dr. Gunson graduated from OVC in 2005. She settled down east with her family and multiple pets. Melanie has a keen interest in surgery.
Dr. Donald Buchanan
Donald Buchanan is originally from Glace Bay, and graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College with a B.Sc. in 2010, then went on to attend the Atlantic Veterinary College, graduating in 2014. A profound respect for the human-animal bond drives his love for veterinary medicine. Donald shares his house with his two cats, Walter and Pat Tabler, and his dog Vita.
Dr. Jessica O’Keefe
Dr. O’Keefe obtained her BSc in Biology from UPEI in 2007 and went on and graduated from AVC in 2011. Jessica lives in Sydney with her 2 cats: Patrick and Spooka. She also has interest in pursuing special certificate in feline medicine.
Dr. Byron Buick
Dr. Buick graduated from WCVM in 1983 and began working in Cape Breton in 1987. He is currently splitting his time between the SPCA and AMC. Byron, his wife and three children have many animals or as he coins it ‘a small zoo’ of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and small rodents!
