Vet Assistant

I entered into the veterinary field to ensure that I do as much as possible for animal welfare. It's a wonderful feeling to help our patients work through challenging experiences and see their recovery. After completing an internship at AMC, I graduated from the Veterinary Technology program from Maritime Business College in May 2021 and got hired on shortly after. My favourite part of the field so far is seeing how impactful our careers are on patients and clients. Every day brings new experiences. Two areas of veterinary medicine that I am interested in are animal rehabilitation and behaviour. AMC is such a wonderful work environment due to the great staff.

When not at work, I enjoy playing with my cat named Dalia and taking her on small walks.

Dear Clients,

With recent changes to restrictions on businesses, we are pleased to advise that effective May 25, 2020 the restrictions on veterinary practices have been lifted. Based on these changes, below are some important updates to our operating policies.

1. WE CAN NOW SEE ALL CASES BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

This includes vaccines, wellness exams, blood work, spays and neuters, dental services, and more!

2. SAFETY MEASURES TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE

Continue our "closed waiting room" policy to protect our clients and staff. When you arrive, please remain outside the hospital and use your cell phone to call us. We will take a history of your pet's health and discuss any concerns. A staff member will then meet you outside to bring your pet into the hospital for an examination. The Veterinarian will call you to discuss the recommended treatment plan. After your appointment, a staff member will return your pet to you outside, and take care of any needed medications and payment.
Continue the use of credit cards as the preferred payment method.

3. OPERATING HOURS

We are OPEN with the following hours:

AMC – Sydney

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday: Closed

AMC – Reserve Mines

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
