Veterinary Referrals
As a full-service hospital, our team here at AMC has the facilities and expertise to treat more nuanced and complicated medical cases. We work with our colleagues at other hospitals in providing the absolute best care for all cherished animals here in our community. If your primary veterinarian has referred you to our hospital – we warmly welcome you and your furry family member. Do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s upcoming appointment or procedure. Please remember that we have two different locations that you can call: 902.564.8356 (Sydney location) or 902.849.3725 (Reserve Mines location).
How can I get a referral at AMC for my pet?
Your primary veterinarian at the veterinary office that you usually go to will give you a referral to our hospital.
What do I need to bring for my pet’s appointment or procedure at AMC?
Your veterinarian will forward to us your furry friend’s medical history and other important information. Therefore, you do not need to bring any kind of documentation with you when you arrive at our office, unless your veterinarian advises you to bring anything in particular.
